Sidney Island

SIDNEY ISLAND, 8 sq km, lies 5 km from SIDNEY off the south coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND and at the north end of the SAANICH PENINSULA. Sidney Spit MARINE PARK (est 1961) occupies the north half of the island, which is surrounded by white sand beaches.
