SNUNEYMUXW  () (Nanaimo) First Nation are a Central Coast Salish (see SALISHAN FIRST NATIONS) group of Island HALKOMELEM-speakers who were living around NANAIMO harbour and in the watershed of the Nanaimo R when the first Europeans arrived.
