ST PIERRE, Paul, writer (b 14 Oct 1923, Chicago, IL; d 27 July 2014, Fort Langley). He grew up in Nova Scotia, served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and arrived in VANCOUVER in 1945. He began a career as a NEWSPAPER writer with the NEW WESTMINSTER Columbian and the Vancouver News Herald before joining the VANCOUVER SUN (1947–68, 1972–79) where he became a popular columnist.
