Cariboo Country


CARIBOO COUNTRY was the first television drama series made in BC. Using scripts by Paul ST PIERRE and produced and directed by Philip Keatley, the program premiered on the VANCOUVER CBC television station CBUT in 1958 and continued until 1966. Stories were set in the fictional community of Namko and strongly reflected the character of the CHILCOTIN ranching region. The show was styled as "fictional documentary" and filmed at RISKE CREEK.
