Stone Mountain Provincial Park

STONE MOUNTAIN PROVINCIAL PARK, 256.91 sq km, straddles the ALASKA HWY in the MUSKWA Ranges of the northern ROCKY MTS, 130 km southwest of FORT NELSON. Created in 1957, the PARK is known for its steep, bare mountainous terrain. TRAILS in Stone Mountain provide access to the Wokkpash Gorge Hiking Circuit, a 70-km backpacking trip past Canada's most extensive hoodoo formations, in adjacent Wokkpash Provincial Park.
