Stoner

STONER, 30 km south of PRINCE GEORGE on BC Rail and Hwy 97, is a small ranching and LOGGING settlement and service centre for the surrounding district. The townsite was relocated after being washed away in a 1955 flood. It is named after either a Pacific Great Eastern Rwy (see BC RAIL) divisional engineer or a pioneer settler, Walter Stoner.
