SUNBURY, 8 km southwest of NEW WESTMINSTER in DELTA municipality, was a unique settlement of houses on floats and stilts on the south shore of the FRASER R. Apparently named after a steamship, it was home to fishers and cannery workers at nearby ANNIEVILLE and elsewhere in Delta. See also FISHING, COMMERCIAL; FLOATHOUSES.
