Sweetwater

SWEETWATER, 20 km northwest of DAWSON CREEK in the PEACE R district, developed in the early 1920s around Jimmy Mathews' stopping place on the trail to FORT ST JOHN. By the mid-1930s this farming settlement had a school, store, post office and blacksmith, but FARMINGTON eclipsed it in the following decade.
