Tanabe, Takao


TANABE, Takao, artist (b 16 Sept 1926, Prince Rupert). His family was displaced from the coast during WWII when he was a teenager (see JAPANESE, RELOCATION OF). He first studied art at the Winnipeg School of Art, where Joe PLASKETT was one of his teachers, and he continued his studies in New York, London and Tokyo.
