TURNER, Nancy J. (Chapman), ethnobotanist (b 7 Nov 1947, Berkeley, CA). When she moved to VICTORIA with her family at age 5, she was already interested in the outdoors; she joined the Victoria Junior Natural History Society at age 9. She received a BSc degree in biology from the UNIV OF VICTORIA in 1969 and a PhD in botany from UBC in 1974.
