WADDINGTON, MOUNT (el 4,019 m) the highest peak wholly within BC, is located about 300 km north of VANCOUVER in the heart of the COAST MTS. The Coast SALISH believe it is the keeper of the notorious BUTE INLET wind. The slopes of the MOUNTAIN were an important hunting area for the HOMALCO First Nation.
