WALLACE, Clarence, shipbuilder, lt gov 1950–55 (b 22 June 1893, Vancouver; d 12 Nov 1982, Palm Desert, CA). The son of the shipbuilder Alfred "Andy" WALLACE, he joined BURRARD DRY DOCK after finishing school. During WWI he served overseas and was wounded at Ypres.
