WILSON CREEK, a residential district on the SUNSHINE COAST, 50 km northwest of VANCOUVER, developed around Tsawcome, a RESERVE of the SECHELT Nation. The area was first homesteaded in the 1880s and became a steamship landing and LOGGING settlement. It was named after James Wilson, a blacksmith for Burns and Jackson Logging, who had a camp here in the 1930s and 1940s.
