Woodward, William Culham "Willy"


WOODWARD, William Culham "Willy," retailer, lt gov 1941–46 (b 24 Apr 1885, Gore Bay, ON; d 24 Feb 1957, Hawaii). The son of Charles WOODWARD, founder of WOODWARD'S STORES, he joined the family business as a bookkeeper in 1907, at age 22, after a short stint with the Royal Bank.
