Montague Harbour


Montague Harbour (48˚53'00" 123˚24'00" SW side of Galiano I, Gulf Is). This name appears on an 1860 chart surveyed by Capt George Richards and likely refers to an RN officer or vessel. There have been a large number of ships with the name Montagu or Montague in the RN, however, and dozens of officers, including several admirals and other distinguished figures (see Montagu Channel).
