Venn Shoal (53˚34'00" 130˚37'00" SW of Norway Inlet, off NW Banks I, Hecate Str). Moses Venn (d 1890) was a Tsimshian First Nation chief who became an Anglican lay preacher at Metlakatla during the late 19th century. He also worked at Kitkatla. He and Betsy Venn were married at Metlakatla in 1872. Moses probably chose his Christian surname in honour of Church Mission Society secretary Henry Venn (see Venn Passage).
