BECK, Barry, hockey player (b 3 June 1957, Vancouver). He was one of the best, and most intimidating, HOCKEY defencemen from BC to play in the NHL. As a junior he starred with the NEW WESTMINSTER BRUINS of the WHL 1974–77. In each of his 3 junior seasons the team went to the Memorial Cup finals, eventually capturing the national title in 1977.
