BREM RIVER was a large LOGGING camp that operated from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. It was located near Brem Bay, where the Brem R runs into TOBA INLET, 65 km north of POWELL RIVER on the mainland coast. Remains of the abandoned camp can still be seen.
