CAPOZZI, Pasquale "Cap," grocer, winemaker (b 1887, Santo Stephano del Sole, Italy; d 1976). He arrived in Canada in 1906 and worked as a railway labourer and store manager before opening his own store in the MINING town of PHOENIX in 1917. Two years later he moved to KELOWNA, where he opened a grocery store. In 1932 he helped raise money to launch CALONA WINES LTD.
