COGHLAN is an AGRICULTURAL and former LOGGING settlement in the FRASER VALLEY, 19 km northwest of ABBOTSFORD in LANGLEY municipality. It grew up in 1911 around a stop on the BC ELECTRIC RWY. A huge concrete electrical substation building was erected here. The site was named after early homesteaders H. and N. Coghlan.
