COMOX () , or Island Comox, are a FIRST NATION of the Northern Coast Salish people (see SALISHAN FIRST NATIONS). Before contact with Europeans they occupied the east coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND from KELSEY BAY south almost to COMOX, and the adjacent islands, including QUADRA ISLAND.
