COMOX LOGGING & RAILWAY CO, at one time the largest LOGGING operation in BC, was created in 1910 as a subsidiary of the giant CANADIAN WESTERN LUMBER CO. Comox Logging embraced all the parent company's logging operations on VANCOUVER ISLAND, including 243 sq km of DOUGLAS FIR forest north of COURTENAY.
