CURLING had been a popular sport in eastern Canada for about 90 years when GOLDEN organized BC's first curling club in 1894. Four years later the province's first recorded bonspiel was held by 18 KOOTENAY Curling Assoc rinks from ROSSLAND, NELSON, SANDON, KASLO and REVELSTOKE.
