ERRINGTON, pop 2,122, a community 34 km northwest of NANAIMO on VANCOUVER ISLAND, got its start in the early 1890s when J.A. McCarter built a roadhouse on the route to PORT ALBERNI. A general store, restaurant and weekend crafts and produce market are located here. At the end of the Errington Road is Englishman River Falls Provincial PARK.
