Fauquier

FAUQUIER  () , pop 219, a lakeside community 57 km south of NAKUSP, has been the eastern terminus for a ferry across Lower ARROW LK since 1913. The hamlet was flooded out in 1969 when HYDROELECTRIC dam construction raised water levels in the lake, but it relocated on higher ground. It is named for F.G. Fauquier, a rancher and fruit grower....
