Nakusp

NAKUSP, village, pop 1,589 (2021), overlooks the east side of Upper ARROW LK in the SELKIRK MTS of southeastern BC, midway between REVELSTOKE and CASTLEGAR. The name comes from an aboriginal word indicating that the lakeshore site gave CANOES shelter from the wind.
