FRANK, Leonard Juda, photographer (b 3 July 1870, Berne, Germany; d 23 Feb 1944, Vancouver). His father was one of Germany's earliest professional photographers. Frank immigrated to the US in 1892 and 2 years later arrived in BC, intending to prospect for GOLD. He worked for a merchandising firm on VANCOUVER ISLAND, then in 1898 ended up in PORT ALBERNI.
