JOHNSON, John William Fordham, business executive, lt gov 1931–36 (b 28 Nov 1866, Spalding, England; d 28 Nov 1938, Vancouver). A bookkeeper by training, he immigrated in 1888 to Portland, where he took a job in the branch office of the BANK OF BC. In 1898 he transferred to the VANCOUVER office.
