MARTEN (Martes americana), a member of the WEASEL family (Mustelids) of mammals, occurs widely in forested areas across BC from sea level to the subalpine and on VANCOUVER ISLAND, the QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS and several other large ISLANDS.
