McLACHLIN, Beverley, lawyer, judge (b 7 Sept 1943, Pincher Creek, AB). After attending law school at the Univ of Alberta, she was called to the Alberta bar and practised 2 years in Edmonton before moving to FORT ST JOHN in 1971. She then went to VANCOUVER, where she entered private practice, and in 1974 she joined the faculty of the UBC law school.
