Middle River


MIDDLE RIVER flows between TAKLA and Trembleur lakes northwest of FORT ST JAMES in the north-central Interior. It is in the territory of the Tl'azt'en FIRST NATION, a group of DAKELH (Carrier) people, whose village, Dzitl'ainli, lies at the mouth of the river on Trembleur Lk. Rich in SALMON and other animal life, it is a BC HERITAGE RIVER. See also RIVERS.
