Mill Bay

MILL BAY, pop 1,974, is a waterfront community at the mouth of Shawnigan Crk on the west side of SAANICH INLET, 42 km north of VICTORIA on VANCOUVER ISLAND. It is named for a SAWMILL built there in 1861 and operated for several years by William SAYWARD. It has been home to BRENTWOOD COLLEGE since 1961. A ferry crosses the inlet to BRENTWOOD BAY.
