MUSGRAVE, or Musgrave's Landing, 38 km north of VICTORIA on the southwest coast of SALTSPRING ISLAND in the GULF ISLANDS, was settled in 1874 by the 4 Pimsbury brothers, who ran a large sheep ranch and built a wharf. Edward Musgrave bought the property in 1885. Other homesteaders also raised sheep. The landing was not connected to the rest of the island by road until 1926.
