Nahatlatch River

NAHATLATCH RIVER flows 20 km west via a chain of lakes into the FRASER R north of BOSTON BAR. It lies in the territory of the NLAKA'PAMUX (Thompson) First Nation, who called it the "salmon river" because of the plentiful runs of SALMON. It is a swiftly flowing river with rapids and a narrow canyon that make it one of the most popular in the province for whitewater river rafting. See also RIVERS.
