PALMANTIER, Leonard, cowboy (b Nov 1888; d 24 Oct 1960). He made his first trip to the CARIBOO in 1914 to sell a string of horses, and returned permanently in 1919. He worked at various ranches, then operated his own spread at RISKE CREEK with his wife Josephine Grambush, a TSILHQOT'IN (Chilcotin) woman from Toosey.
