ROBSON BIGHT is a small nick in the shoreline on the northeast coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND in JOHNSTONE STRAIT, 20 km south of TELEGRAPH COVE at the mouth of the Tsitika R. It was protected as an ECOLOGICAL RESERVE in 1982 after it was learned that KILLER WHALES frequented the spot to rub their bodies in the rocky shallows.
