RODDAN, Andrew, United Church minister (b 6 July 1882, Hawick, Scotland; d 25 Apr, 1948, Vancouver). He arrived in VANCOUVER in 1929 from eastern Canada to take up a position as minister at First UNITED CHURCH. An outspoken advocate of social gospel, he organized support for the destitute in the city during the Depression and promoted low-cost housing and welfare services.
