RONNING, Cliff, hockey player (b 1 Oct 1965, Vancouver). From his record-setting days with the NEW WESTMINSTER BRUINS to his NHL years with the VANCOUVER CANUCKS he was one of the most popular BC HOCKEY players. As a junior with the Bruins in 1983–85 he captured honours as the WHL's rookie of the year, most sportsmanlike player, most valuable player and scoring champion.
