Royal Hudson


ROYAL HUDSON was the last steam locomotive in regular service in N America. Until 1999, when it was retired, it hauled a summer passenger train for sightseers between N VANCOUVER and SQUAMISH. The engine was built for the CPR in 1940. Retired in 1958, it was saved from the scrapyard in 1964 and sent to VANCOUVER to be part of a railway museum.
