SMYL, Stanley Phillip "Stan" ("Steamer"), hockey player (b 28 Jan 1958, Glendon, AB). One of the most popular players in BC HOCKEY history, he came west in 1974 to play for the WHL's NEW WESTMINSTER BRUINS. In his 3 junior seasons with the Bruins (1975–78) they won the league championship each year and twice won the national junior championship Memorial Cup.
