ST LEON HOT SPRINGS, 67 km south of REVELSTOKE on the east side of Upper ARROW LK, was a steamship landing and luxurious hotel built in 1902 by Mike Grady, a prospector who struck it rich at SILVERTON. PROHIBITION put the hotel out of business about 1918. It was rebuilt in 1945 but disappeared for good when the Arrow Lks were dammed in 1968. The actual springs were not submerged; they still exist on the hillside above the lake.
