STANTON, John Herbert Frederic, lawyer (b 13 May 1914, Port Hope, ON; d 1 Feb 2002, Victoria). He moved to BC at age 10 with his family when his father took a job as a teacher in a private school on VANCOUVER ISLAND. After graduating from SHAWNIGAN LAKE SCHOOL and then UBC, he articled as a lawyer in VANCOUVER and was called to the bar in 1936.
