Taylor, Austin Cottrell

TAYLOR, Austin Cottrell, financier (b 17 Jan 1889, Toronto; d 1 Nov 1965, Vancouver). During WWI the Imperial Munitions Board made him responsible for procuring SPRUCE from the QUEEN CHARLOTTE ISLANDS for airplane construction. He made his fortune in the 1930s as one of the owners of the BRALORNE mine in the BRIDGE R country.
