ENGLEWOOD was a SAWMILLING community in BEAVER COVE on the east side of VANCOUVER ISLAND, south of PORT McNEILL. The name refers to the original mill owners, Fred Wood and E.G. English, who started LOGGING in the Nimpkish Valley in 1917 and built the mill in 1924. CANADIAN FOREST PRODUCTS LTD took over the operation during WWII.
