Koksilah

KOKSILAH  () , pop 980, is a LOGGING and AGRICULTURAL community beside the Island Hwy and ESQUIMALT & NANAIMO RWY, south of DUNCAN on VANCOUVER ISLAND. The origin of the Hul'qumi'num (see HALKOMELEM) name is uncertain but may mean "place of snags." Bright Angel Provincial PARK lies south of here on the Koksilah R.
