LARGE, Richard Geddes, doctor (b 21 Oct 1901, Bella Bella; d 26 Apr 1988, Prince Rupert). The son of the medical missionary R.W. LARGE, he studied medicine at the Univ of Toronto, then returned to the North Coast to work at mission hospitals in BELLA BELLA and HAZELTON. He was superintendent of the Port Simpson General Hospital (see FORT SIMPSON) from 1926 to 1931, then operated a private practice in PRINCE RUPERT from 1931 to 1982.
