TOFINO  () , district municipality, pop 2,516 (2021), is the jumping-off point for CLAYOQUOT SOUND, just outside the north end of PACIFIC RIM NATIONAL PARK RESERVE on the west coast of VANCOUVER ISLAND, 135 km west of PORT ALBERNI.
