BC athletes were prominent at the Paralympic Games which ended yesterday.
Out of a Canadian total of 19 medals, I count nine medals for British Columbians.
The amazing Lauren Woolstencroft, of course. The North Vancouver skier won five gold medals, half of all the golds won by Canadians.
She was followed by Karolina Wisniewska of Vancouver who won two bronze in alpine skiing, Josh Dueck of Vernon, a silver, also in skiing, and the Jim Armstrong rink from Richmond, a gold in wheelchair curling.
Congratulations to them all, and to all the paralympians who took part in the Vancouver Games.
