I am presenting an illustrated talk about my recent book, Seeing Reds: The Red Scare of 1918-19, Canada's First War on Terror, at the downtown branch of the Vancouver Public Library, next Monday evening, Nov. 14, at 7 pm.
The book is about the wave of paranoia that swept across Canada in the wake of World War One when the government, the press and many members of the public believed that the country was on the verge of our very own Bolshevik revolution.
Sound improbable? If you are in the area, come on down and find out all about it.
