The winter issue of Canadian Art magazine contains an engaging portrait of the Vancouver street photographer Fred Herzog by writer Timothy Taylor.
Herzog, now 82 years old, has been taking stunning photographs of street scenes in the city for several decades, but it was not until his one-man show at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 2007 (I remember attending on Mother's Day; I'd never seen the rooms of the VAG so crowded with people) that Herzog's work became popular with the general public.
